Privacy
SDS Glass International is a trade supplier: the only personal details we hold are the ones you send us in order to be quoted. This page says what those are, who processes them and how to have them removed.
Who we are
SDS Glass International, a decorative-glass manufacturer and exporter in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to shiv@sdsglassintl.com about anything on this page.
What we collect, and when
Nothing is asked of you for browsing the catalogue. Personal details reach us only when you choose to send them:
- Requesting a quotation. Your name and email address, and — where you fill them in — your company, country, indicative quantity and message, together with the product code and size you were looking at.
- Requesting the full collection. Your name and email address, and optionally your company and country, so we can send the catalogue and know who asked for it.
- Contacting us on WhatsApp.Opening that conversation hands your WhatsApp number to us, and the exchange itself is carried by WhatsApp under Meta’s own terms.
We ask for trade contact details, not personal ones, and we do not knowingly collect anything from children. There is no account to create, no password to store, and no payment is ever taken on this site.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, quote for it, and carry on that trade conversation — the legitimate interest of two businesses in corresponding about an order, and where you are in the UK or EU, the steps taken at your request before a contract. We do not sell your details, and we do not send marketing to people who have only asked for a quotation.
Advertising and measurement
When advertising is switched on, this site uses the Meta pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure which advertisements lead to enquiries. Both are Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. What is sent to Meta is the fact that a page was viewed or an enquiry was submitted, along with:
- your name, email address and country in hashed form only (SHA-256) — Meta receives a digest it can match against its own records, not the address itself;
- your IP address and browser user-agent, which are not hashed;
- Meta’s own
_fbpand_fbccookies, where your browser already has them.
The same event is reported twice — once from your browser, once from our server — carrying one shared identifier so Meta counts it once. The server-side half runs through this site’s own domain, which means an ad-blocker or tracking protection will not necessarily stop it; browser-level controls, or Meta’s own ad preferences, are where to opt out. If you would rather we did not report your enquiry at all, say so in your message and we will exclude it.
Your browser also stores two small flags on this site so the catalogue popup does not reappear once you have used or dismissed it. They stay in your browser, are readable only by this site, and clearing your site data removes them.
Who else sees it
- Resend — delivers the enquiry to our desk and the catalogue to you. Your details pass through their systems as the contents of that email.
- Vercel — hosts this site and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
- Meta — as described above, and only while advertising is switched on.
Our catalogue itself is held with Sanity, which stores product information and no personal data. Because we are an Indian exporter using these services, details you send are processed outside your own country, including in India, the European Union and the United States.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our business correspondence for as long as the trade relationship they belong to is live, and are then kept only as long as tax and export record-keeping requires. [TO CONFIRM before publication: the retention period the business actually applies.] Ask us to delete an enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep the record.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to stop using it, or ask for a copy. Write to shiv@sdsglassintl.com and we will answer within one month. If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
Any change to this page is dated at the top. Material changes to how we handle enquiry details will be noted there rather than made quietly.
